Wintertime Living Room Weddings
Hello friends! My name is Anna (she/her), and I have been officiating weddings in Oregon, Washington and beyond since 2021. As a queer wife and mama, it is my profound joy to celebrate queer love stories out loud for all to hear! We have always been here, and we are not going anywhere. I believe that our love has so much to teach the world, and it always will.
With the uncertainty of the Obergefell decision looming above many of our heads, I have decided to offer pay-what-you-can Living Room Weddings this winter as a way to help as many queer folks in our community secure our marriages legally as possible.
My hope is that these sweet weddings offer some comfort, joy, and light for you and your loved ones during these difficult times, and give you an added layer of security as we face the unknown ahead.
As Octavia Butler writes in The Parable of the Sower, “Kindness eases change.” May we fill ourselves to the brim with kindness as we navigate what lies ahead!
Your Living Room Wedding will include:
You and 2-6 of your loved ones
A lovingly crafted ceremony in the comfort of your own home (or that of someone you know)
Time to share your vows, exchange rings and hear toasts from friends and family
Your marriage license filled out and submitted accurately and on time
And the love and care of a queer officiant who is proud to stand by you on your big day, and every day.
We have had an outpouring of support from the Portland wedding vendor community. Currently, we are able to offer FREE photography services from Voyage and Vine Photography, discounted florals from Emma Bryant Creative, free venue assistance if a living room setting isn’t possible from Easton Broad, ceremony backdrops from Dandy Gal Art, and so much more.
